POWER CONTACTORS

A power contactor is an electromagnetic relay. It allows the power to be relayed or interrupted between the switch and the element that controls it. For example, the contactor is essential for starting an airplane engine or other high-power receivers. It also helps to prevent electrical malfunctions. The difference between a relay and a contactor is the amount of power they can handle. A relay can handle up to 50 amps, while a contactor can handle larger loads.

Normally Closed Contactors

In its idle state, when no current is applied to the contactor coil, its contacts are closed, allowing the current to flow through the circuit. When the coil is activated by an electrical signal, the contacts open, interrupting the circuit.

Current Sensing Contactors are contactors capable of detecting the electric current flowing in a circuit, enabling precise monitoring of the load and triggering specific actions based on the measured current levels.

Over Current Contactors

These are contactors designed to respond to abnormally high electric current, acting as protection devices to prevent electrical overloads. They automatically interrupt the circuit when the current exceeds a predetermined threshold.

GV200 Contacteurs

The GV200 range of contactors can handle up to 500 amps, at voltages ranging from 12 to 800 VDC. They are hermetically sealed and filled with a non-conductive gas to prevent electrical arcing and support higher amperages. These contactors can be used in complex and demanding environments (vibrating, dusty or humid) and in any position for ease of installation. They are designed to withstand immersion (up to 30 minutes) and are protected against flammable gases and fires. The GV200 meets CE compliance standards and is UL508 certified. They are ideal for high-power battery-powered systems. Additionally, these devices can be activated by 12, 24, or 48 VDC voltages and do not emit electromagnetic interference.

GV240 Contacteurs

Hermetically sealed and cost-effective, the GV240 contactors in the range can handle very high DC current loads, up to 400 amps at voltages ranging from 100 to 800 VDC. Offering four different mounting configurations and an option for electronic card mounting, they are CE compliant and ideal for high-power battery-powered systems. Activated by 12, 24, or 48 VDC voltages and without electromagnetic interference emissions, the GV240 is an optimal choice for applications that demand reliable load switching.

HX241 Contacteurs

Certified by UL for its high voltages of 1500 VDC and its ability to handle up to 400 A, the HX241 contactor meets CE standards. They comply with CE conformity standards. Hermetically sealed, they are designed to meet UL1604, Class I, Class II, and Class III equipment for use in complex environments such as wet, dusty, and hot environments. The HX241 has two high-efficiency direct current coils, and their pulse width modulation (PWM) options allow for greater flexibility in variable control.

HX460 Contacteurs

These contactors are among the smallest in the world. Hermetically sealed, with a rated voltage of 1000V and UL508 certified, they exceed IP67 and IP69 sealing requirements. HX460 contactors can withstand the rigors of complex environments (humidity, heat, or dust) and are suitable for battery packs, solar and wind power systems. They are ideal for vehicles equipped with high-voltage electric battery systems.
